Mohamed Abdisamad
Founder & Executive Director

Mohamed is the founder and executive director of the Laasgeel Institute. He oversees the organization's overall operations and leads external relations and resource mobilization. With extensive experience in NGO management, he has worked with several nonprofit organizations and the public sector in Somaliland. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy.

Amiira Osman
Deputy Director of Management & Operations

Amiira Abdirahman serves as the deputy director, overseeing the institute's management and daily operations. She has experience working with both international and local NGOs and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in international relations. Additionally, she has participated in several international training programs, including the YALI Regional Leadership Program.

⁠Yasmiin Suileman
Secretary & Acting General Director of Research, Development

Yasmiin Suileman is the secretary at Laasgeel Institute and the Acting General Director of Research and Development. She holds a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Bangladesh University and is also a senior researcher. Yasmiin has experience working with both international and local NGOs in Somaliland.
